Delete Your Account
Last updated: 2026-06-05
Account deletion is permanent. All of your bonded gymbiotes, workout history, achievements, items, REPS, and active subscription entitlements will be removed and cannot be recovered.
1. Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open the Gymbiote app and sign in.
- Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation.
- Tap the Settings gear in the top-right of your trainer card.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Re-enter your password to confirm.
Deletion is processed immediately. You will be signed out and your data will be removed from our servers.
2. Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email support@gymbiote.com from the address registered with your Gymbiote account. Include your trainer name if known. We verify the request and complete deletion within 30 days, and send a confirmation email when complete.
3. What gets deleted
- Account credentials — email address, password hash, sign-in tokens.
- Trainer profile — name, avatar, level, REPS balance, achievements, daily quest progress.
- Gymbiote collection — every bonded gymbiote, nicknames, bond stages, move sets, held items.
- Workout history — logged workouts, exercise data, templates, custom exercises, step counts.
- Multiplayer data — friends list, friend requests, trade history, PvP battle records.
- Mail and notifications — in-app messages, trade offers, PvP challenges, gift mail.
- Exploration data — scanner alerts, investigation progress, world-map state, key items.
- Location data — last-stored trainer location used for PvP nearby matchmaking.
- Food diary entries — nutritional logs and any uploaded food photos.
4. What is retained
For legal, financial, and compliance reasons we retain a limited amount of information:
- Transaction records — anonymized purchase receipts and subscription history are retained as required by tax and consumer-protection law (typically 7 years). These records do not contain your personal identifiers after deletion.
- Aggregate analytics — anonymous, non-identifying usage statistics may remain in our analytics database. This data cannot be linked back to you.
- Server logs — standard request logs (IP, timestamp, path) are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention, then automatically purged.
5. Cancelling active subscriptions
Deleting your Gymbiote account does not automatically cancel an active subscription on the App Store or Google Play — those are managed by the platform.
If you subscribed on iOS:
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name → Subscriptions.
- Tap Gymbiote → Cancel Subscription.
If you subscribed on Android (Google Play):
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Tap Gymbiote → Cancel subscription.
You retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period; after that your account reverts to the Free tier (or stays deleted if you already deleted it).
